My name is Jamilya Botabayeva, I am a fashion illustrator from Almaty, Kazakhstan, with a passion for dynamic and vibrant sketches. My journey began at a young age, but my professional career truly took off in 2020 during the pandemic. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with prestigious luxury brands and participating in live events like the Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2023 show during Milan Fashion Week. Capturing the backstage energy and details in my sketches, I love combining traditional techniques—such as watercolor and pastels—with digital media to create evocative portraits.

My illustrations often reflect themes of strong, entrepreneurial women, inspired by structured garments, architectural lines, and oriental embellishments like embroidery and sequins. I put a lot of attention into detail, aiming to convey emotion and bring each piece to life.
